Brainstorming for final project

I want to try to analyze critically about the movie 'Interstellar' for final project. I love all Christopher Nolan's movies, and I was impressed a lot by 'Interstellar' in 2014. I wrote mid term paper for analysis of 'Modern Times', and it was very interesting analysis. While analyzing for a mid term paper, I have learned a lot of technologies of movies and my perspective was changed when I watch a movie such as music, cinematography, Mise-en-Scene, and editing of movie. I am likely to write final project analysis better and more interesting than mid term paper because there are a lot of technologies in 'Interstellar' a modern movie.

Final Assignment

I am considering doing a critical analysis of the 1980 movie Mad Max. I would analyze different elements in the film and how it was done and then compare it to what can be expected in the new Mad Max: Fury Road coming out this summer. I would talk about what might be expected to see from the old to the new. Obviously this is only an idea, but in my opinion might be interesting to see how it would turn out.

Brainstorming Final Assignment

I am interested in doing a critical analysis of the movie Inception.  I really enjoyed writing a critical analysis of for the Joker in Batman the Dark Knight.  It was fun and actually pretty easy to write over five pages on a three minute scene from another Christopher Nolan movie, so I think it will be fun to analyze another one of his movies.

Brainstorming

For my final project, I am interested in doing a critical analysis on an action film. The movies, "In Time" and "Interstellar" captivate my interest, but I have not put in much thought about what I want to write about yet, and therefore I may do a completely different movie. Any suggestions on great action movies with deeper meanings?

Final Assignment

For the final assignment I am looking into doing a research paper relating to the history of the cost of movie production in the beginning compared to now. I also think it would be interesting to see if there is any research published on the relationship of the cost of making a movie and its success.

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks,
Andrew

Final Assignment

For my final project, I want to write another critical analysis.  I loved diving deep into the film There Will Be Blood, and I believe I could do a great job analyzing another film.  For now, the plan is to write a paper analyzing the final scene in last years Whiplash.  It’s one of the most incredible ending scenes of a film, and there is plenty of content to analyze.  I thought about possibly writing a script, but I am a much better analytical writer.  This scene allows me to open things up and focus on a scene wrapping up a film as opposed to a scene filled with foreshadowing.  I would enjoy getting to break down one of the most impactful scenes I’ve ever seen, and I think I could write a good paper discussing the symbolism and meaning behind this spectacular scene.

Final Assignment

For my Final assignment I would like to do a critical analysis of the film A Single Man. The film gives the perspective of George Falconer, an English professor that recently lost the love of his life, and thus is living out his last day before he attempts to ends his life. I will do a close watching of the film to see why George is so depressed with his life, and what is keeping him from living in the moment. I also would like to analyze what keeps George from moving on from his past lover. By analyzing the sequence, dialogue and editing of the film I would be able to gain a holistic view of George’s feelings.
